Customer buys Barge. $100 per US Ton. I currently have 10,000 tons for sale.
Diver patch holes and pump out $30 per ton
Cut into 8x20 pieces at the site of sunken vessel $60
Load into open top truck $15 per ton
Truck to Scrap Yard 30 miles $15 per ton
Cut into 2x5 $20 per ton
$5 per ton commission
My cost of production……..$245 per ton. Always short ton.
Current Gross Price $345 being paid by current customer. A $100 per ton gross profit. Always short ton.
Remember I told you that I do not like using the lowest quote for a benchmark. This is for US Ton add 10% for metric ton.
Customers must use the above 5 step process to get to whatever tonnage they want.
I will do 500 tons to 1000 tons per month per project. Always short ton.
